Special Live Exhibit - Birds of Prey

Clearwater Marine Aquarium to Host Special Birds of Prey Exhibit

Meet rescued birds for a limited time at CMA

Clearwater, FL (Jan., 15, 2019) – Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) will host ‘Florida Birds of Prey,’ featuring a special live exhibit of rescued Florida raptors. This unique opportunity will run Sat., Jan. 19 through Mon., Jan. 21 at CMA. Guests are invited to experience these incredible creatures up close. The Birds of Prey exhibit, which is included with general admission, will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The rescued birds visiting CMA include a screech owl, a barred owl, a great horned owl, a red tailed hawk, a red shouldered hawk, a kestrel and more. A rescued bald eagle will even visit on Sat., Jan. 19! All featured raptors are rescued, just like our resident animals here at CMA.

There will also be a range of educational activities for guests, including an interactive activity with owl pellets, and the opportunity to learn hands on about the birds’ diets, the predator/prey relationship, and identifying the species.
Media are invited to attend the Birds of Prey event. Rescued birds are also available for in-studio shows.
As a non-profit organization, all proceeds support the rescue, rehabilitation and release of marine life. Guests can learn more about and purchase tickets to CMA’s ‘Florida Bird of Prey’ by visiting: https://www.seewinter.com/event/birds-of-prey-2019/
