Why should someone consider Clearwater and Its Island Beaches? Maybe it will be because it is one of Florida’s most popular vacation sports. Maybe it will be because of our award winning beaches. Maybe it will be because it boasts a temperate and mild climate. Maybe it will be because Clearwater is safer, more affordable, quieter and calmer than other more prominent destinations. Maybe it will be because Clearwater’s proximity to Orlando, only 90 minutes away, makes it logical to make Clearwater – with its beautiful beaches, warm tropical breezes, and breathtaking sunsets – “home base” for excursions. Maybe it will be because of the area’s extensive water recreation and nature-based and land-based attractions. Maybe it will be because the area’s special events offer every visitor a special reason to come. Maybe it will be because of our history and culture. Maybe it will be because of a sporting activity or two, either watching or participating. Maybe it is because we have accommodations for everyone’s style and budget. Maybe it will be because we offer it all. |
